What I read this month – April edition

Another month has gone by! Time for a new edition of what I read this month! April has slow down for me on the reading front because I was busy hosting a metal concert at the end of the month! I’m ready to dive right back into my to read pile! Apéro spécial été A quick little cook book focused on entrées and snacks to eat on the patio. There’s a feta pesto spread that I want to try as soon as spring sets in here in Quebec! Science and Magic This coffee table book compiles articles from the nineteenth century, at a time when science and magic where hardly distinguishable. Interesting nature facts and experiments conducted during this era make for a highly interesting read! You Need a Budget I love a good personal finance book! This one was super simple, but gave a few invaluable advices, such as give each dollar a job. Upon reading it, I changed the way I approach money and how I handle my paychecks. How to set goals in the Bullet Journal

Goal setting has always been a passion of mine. When I started using my first Bullet journal back in 2015, I knew I had to incorporate goal setting in my journal, one way or the other. Here’s my process to set new goals in my Bullet journal. Quarterly goals Following the 12 week year method, I like to set quarterly goals, because its easier to keep the momentum going when you only have 90 days to accomplish a goal. Yearly resolutions tend to fail come February because we lose steam. Aiming for quarterly goals feel like a sprint, which keeps me motivated. Start by looking back Before I set new goals, I like to reflect on what I have accomplished in the past. One tool that I love to reflect on my accomplishments is the Level 10 Life exercise popularized by Hal Elrod, author of the Miracle Morning.
