Top 10 books of 2017 – Part 2

I consider myself a true bookworm, a library rat as we say in French. But this past year, I’ve surpassed all my reading records by reading more than 90 books! I’ve selected my top 20 books of the year in this two-part series, and here’s the final 10 books I’ve appreciated most in 2017. The Four Tendencies I’ve been waiting for the release of this book for the most part of 2017. The author, Gretchen Rubin, is part of my team of virtual mentors, and I’ve been reading everything she publishes. It is no surprise that she appears twice in this top 10! I tried different meds, with astonishing side effects, weight gain, acne, all sorts of weird things, like blurry vision or falling asleep at 8 at night. Then I had a few years of solace, where my […]

To say that I’m an avid reader would be an understatement. So far in 2017, I’ve read 45 books, most of them about personal development. I’ve selected 10 of the most interesting and life-altering ones I’ve read to share with you today. Here are my 10 favorite personal development books, in no particular order. 1.  The Slight Edge: Turning Simple Disciplines into Massive Success and Happiness This very simple, but quite powerful book has been my favorite so far. I wrote a full blog post about the Slight Edge principle, which allows you to turn any habit into massive success. If you are trying to achieve a goal, any goal, I highly suggest that you get a copy of the Slight Edge. 2.  Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear This book by bestselling author Elizabeth Gilbert is about creativity and our birthright as creators. The author empowers us in feeling entitled to create and to do so in a daring way. Very freeing and inspiring! 3. The Desire Map: A Guide to Creating Goals with Soul During my silent retreat […]
